The station building was located on the east side of euston station, closed in 1914 and demolished in the 1930s. It was designed by the classically trained architect philip hardwick and initially it had only two platforms, one for departures and one for arrivals. [4] in 1870 the main line station was rebuilt with a formal layout, and two portland stone classical style entrance lodges were erected on euston road to frame the approach to the portico of the main station.

This is nowhere near the existing tube entrance in the current euston mainline station concourse, it is located further north at the head of where platforms 2 & 3 are now.
